He was always so kind to you, always helping you as a child. Then there you were, breaking away from his a your own country, blaming him for all the mistakes with your country. Romano was breaking away with you, and he too, was blaming everything on Spain. And Spain took it.

Because that's what older brothers and lovers do right?

You were now hugging the crying Spain, two weeks after you seceded from him. You were infront of him, each leg on each on the side of his hips, as he sat in his favorite chair.

"I miss you." he whispered in you collar bone.

"I know, I'm sorry." You whisper back.

You sat in silence some more until you pulled away, to see his face in the dark house, only illuminated by the closed/covered window behind the chair. You felt his hands grip you hips and you pulled him in for your first real kiss. You had kissed in the past, but it was when he was a "teen" and you were a "child."

"What happens after this?" You blushed as Spain laughed at your question.

"Haha... Cariño ^(Sweety)... Maybe we could.. you know... kiss more? Or maybe even better, we could date?"

Your body tensed up, 'OMG!?!? FINALLY!!! Okay, OKAY!! CALM DOWN! Just calmly respond....'

"...... Miel^(Honey)?"

"OKAYYY!~~~" And the two of you fell to the floor in the chair.

It had been about a year after that, and you and Spain held hands to the G8 meetings and pretty much anywhere you went. And of course you had to bring all his friends most of the dates; France, Prussia and Romano. You were friends with other countries (America,England the Allies) , but it would be a little awkward with them there- since "The Four" interacted with each other so much. But, you were okay with being with the bad touch trio and the angry Italian brother, mainly because you had A  LOT of secret dates with Spain and "ROMANTIC" nights.

The five of you were walking in a line in the plaza, picking up some tomatoes (for who I wonder?) and anything you needed to help make Romano and Italy's birthday party food. Italy was with Japan and Germany, picking out what he wanted you to cook and what he wanted for his presents... since Germany is so uptight and isn't good with gifts.

"DAMMIT BASTARD! What the hell Do you think your doing??!" You heard the only Italian in the group yell. The group stopped and you leaned a little forward past Spain (who you were holding hands with) to see France kissing the cheeks of Romano.

"Honhonhonhon.... I was just giving you a birthday kiss.. but I accidently missed and got your cheeks..."

"YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN MY LIPS IF I HADN'T MOVED!!" Romano yelled again pushing at the Frenchman's face.

You missed it (because you were laughing), but France and Prussia had given Spain a look. He mouthed thanks and dragged you away. "Come on."

He brought you around to a nicer and less crowded part of the plaza.

"Why did you bring me down here, I probably could have calmed him down..." You asked as Spain let go of your hand. He then grabbed your shoulders and brought to a huge tree that drooped down and shaded you from the warm Italian March weather.

"Well... he was used to distract you and help me bring you here with out him freaking out where we were going... and Prussia and France were helping me...because they are the only ones who know..." Spain fiddled with his hands.

"Well..?" You asked nervously. Spain gulped and then got on his knees and shifted to just one and dug in his pocket. Your heart stopped when you knew what he was doing.

He pulled out a small red velvet box and opened it; revealing a diamond ring.

You held your breath until those words came out:

"WHAT!??!? WHERE DID THEY GO? -*silence*- BEARDED BASTARD! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT HE WAS GOING TO ASK HER TO MARRY HIM!?? WELL!! LETS GO WATCH!"

"Kesesese... You 'vo we cant! We have to-- AW CRAP. THEY'RE RIGHT THERE! FRANCE! DRAG 'OMANO AWAY!!"

"HELL NO! YOUR NOT BRING ME ANYWHERE! YOU WILL MAKE ME MISS IT!"

But by the time he yelled "Anywhere!" You had already said yes and when the 3 of them walked up, you were kissing Spain's lips. Romano saw this, and from his angle he saw your ring. He threw his hands up in the air and yelled his famous word:

"DAMMIT!"
